My guest today had careers as a journalist, newspaper editor, publisher, and media executive, but he has written fiction most of his life. The newspaper biz has taken him and his family from Arizona, to small towns in North Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin, from seven years in Washington, D.C., to five years in Asia. Born and raised a small-town kid, he’s as comfortable in Tokyo as Tuna, Texas. He has four novels published and a collection of short stories. He’s also a sought-after fiction editor, with editing clients from around the world He retired from the journalism world two years ago and moved to a lake home in Ozarks region of Missouri, where he writes and edits full time.
