EPISODE SUMMARY
My guest today grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved to Largo, Florida seven years ago where she currently lives. She took art classes in high school but couldn’t follow her passion for art until she retired. She jokes that she is going to be the next Grandma Moses. There is a retention pond next to her home in Florida and of course, there are the expected frogs and turtles, but the biggest surprise and joy is ‘their’ otter whom they have named Otto. It is because of Otto that a good friend and neighbor urged my guest to write a book. She realized she could start a new journey by combining her love of painting with another new adventure in life… writing. She has written and illustrated her first children’s picture book, Otto the Otter, A Big Surprise. Welcome to Authors Over 50, Linda Hansen.
