My guest today is an American Book Award winner, and her work has been translated into nine languages. She has been a balladeer of English and international songs, sung opera, produced a classical concert series and Renaissance festivals, and formed a chamber opera company. She makes her home in New York City, where she was born and where she has lived in the same apartment for fifty years. The Boy in the Rain began as a scrap written on a dare from friends.
